Optical Grade

Optical grade single crystal CVD diamond is a new type of functional material. Diamond has many excellent characteristics such as high hardness (never-worn optical lens), high transmittance in the long-wave infrared wavelength (at room temperature), highest thermal conductivity at room temperature, excellent chemical stability and high thermal shock resistance, etc. As a new functional material, optical grade single crystal CVD diamond can be widely used in aviation, military, scientific research equipment, such as CO₂ laser window (10.6μm), high power microwave window, etc.

Technical parameters of Optical grade single crystal CVD diamond

1. Optical grade single crystal CVD diamond does not have any absorption peaks from the ultraviolet (0.22μm) to the far infrared or even the microwave band, except for a tiny intrinsic absorption peak at the 4-6 μm position.
2. The infrared transmittance of the optical grade single crystal CVD diamond is about 70% (at 10.6 μm).
3. The surface roughness Ra value of the optical grade single crystal CVD diamond is less than 5 nm.
4. The thermal conductivity of the optical grade single crystal CVD diamond is more than 1900 Wm^-1K^-1.
5. In the Raman spectrum of the optical grade single crystal CVD diamond, there is only a characteristic peak at 1332.5 cm^-1.
